Angela France's The Hill is a remarkable sequence of poems that leads us up the winding footpaths of Leckhampton Hill near Cheltenham. Under our feet are fossils and flora, bones and the relics of quarrying. Angela France has had poems published in many leading journals and anthologies. Publications include Occupation (Ragged Raven Press, 2009), Lessons in Mallemaroking (2011), Hide (2013) and The Hill (2017), all from Nine Arches press. The Hill has been developed into a touring live multi-media poetry show, funded by Arts Council England. Angela teaches creative writing at the University of Gloucestershire and in various community settings.
